Job Responsibilities: |
- The RMNCAH will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a system for regular communication with provincial RH officers, community Midwives in health facilities and FHHs,
- To contribute in improving knowledge & practice of the provincial RH officers and midwifes through supervision & on the job training regarding the RMNCAH activities
- Provide technical support to the provincial RMNCAH units in arranging weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, and annual review meetings and workshops
- Lead the communications and reporting on the RMNCAH activities, this includes quarterly bulletins, and project reports.
- Present RMNCAH project progress activity reports at provincial, regional and national forums as needed.
- Conduct a detailed training needs assessment for each targeted province on RMNCAH related activities
- To ensure that all relevant staff especially provincial RH officers are aware from project work schedule and updates
- To ensure that progress against project key indicators (RMNCAH indicators) are updated on monthly base at main and provincial offices
- To closely monitor the performance of RMNCAH key indicators versus set targets on monthly basis and makes sure effective action plans are developed to achieve these targets both at central and provincial level;
- To ensure that all the RMNCAH related programs and activities meet the Maximum STANDARDS for staffing and services as reflected in the approved contract and donor requirements.
- To conduct slide presentation to all sub office co-workers on RMNCAH policies, strategies and supervision system related to his/her field of expertise based on JACK capacity building unit developed orientation plans;
- To ensure that RMNCAH checklists are implemented in each health facility once per quarter;
- To establish/maintain tracking system of RMNCAH main activities at central and provincial level to systematically measure the progress;
- To provide and submit on time mission/activity reports to his/her line supervisor on daily/ weekly base (written document or e-mail); Develop a detailed ‘monitoring and reporting’ plan on RMNCAH activities for each province.
- Support and closely coordinate with JACK’s HR Department in the overall recruitments of RMNCAH related technical staff
- Assess the activities undertaken and ensure efficient & effective use of resources.
- Ensure lessons learned are documented, shared, and reflected in project planning and decision makings.
- Provide regular and timely updates on progress and challenges to the Program director and other JACK senior Management team
- Contribute to the drafting of (external) project progress reports, ensuring the quality and accuracy of technical information provided.
- Any other task relevant to the project implementation.

Job Requirements: |
- Medical Doctor or Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynecology from a recognized medical institution. Master’s degree in public health will be an advantage.
- At least 2-4 years of professional experience, in the area of project management especially RMNCAH, capacity building, monitoring and evaluation of RMNCAH programs
- Fluency in speaking Dari, Pashto and English languages as well as professional business writing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications and data analysis software.
- Excellent knowledge of the Afghanistan health system, BPHS/EPHS program, RMNCAH project implementation, national RMNCAH national policies and strategy;
- Ability to work under pressure, flexible and able to perform multi-task,
