Job Purpose: |
Leading the target setting for key project proxy outcome indicators at the service point level. |
Job Responsibilities: |
- Leading the target setting for key project proxy outcome indicators at the service point level.
- Application of standard National HMIS guidelines at facilities JACK implementation with funded support of save the children.
- Monitoring the HMIS indicators at the service points as well as overall at the project level.
- Marinating the standard HMIS database and NMC database and providing timely HMIS reports and replicas to PPHD.
- Provide reliable, accurate, and timely information and reports for informed planning and decision-making at the project level, and Provide feedback, prepare action plans, and follow up.
- Support the project management team in adopting a supportive supervision approach in the service points.
- Monitoring the quality of supervision and monitoring of health facilities by the project team.
- Conducting monitoring of health facilities together with PHD team.
- Follow up on monitoring of action plan of external monitors including the PHD and MoPH.
- Leading the field data collection in the service points.
- Perform any other required project-related tasks.
HMIS
- Responsible for managing information for the project and ensuring the integrity of data throughout the system
- Operates the HMIS and other relevant databases, updates and analyzes the information timely and regularly
- Provides reliable, accurate, and timely information and reports for planning and decision-making purposes
- Monitors the HMIS activities in the project catchment areas
- Responsible for Arranged and conducted HMIS training sessions for newly recruited employees and filed staff at the project level as per need.
- Responsible for sharing HMIS, reporting, and field performance-related issues with field staff based on field visit findings and report analysis.
- Ensure effective teamwork and coordination with project staff and provincial HMIS and PHO team to ensure the performance and data of the project as per project targets and update HMIS guidelines.

Job Requirements: |
- At least 3 years full-time experience of working in HMIS.
- Medical Doctor degree; medical/public health professional.
- Strong communication skills.
- Fluent in English, Pashto, and Dari with excellent speaking and writing skills.
- Proficient computing skills – word processing, spreadsheet design, and presentations.
Other skills required:
- Efficiency, result-oriented, and excellent management capabilities.
- Ability to identify project weaknesses and gaps and to take corrective action.
- Ability of problem-solving and conflict resolution.
- Excellent HMIS and M&E skills
- Capacity to perform effectively under pressure and harsh conditions; ability to handle.
