Job Responsibilities:
  • Prescribes appropriate food packages following state guidelines and the applicant's dietary/health requirements and personal preference.
  • Correctly follows state guidelines for identifying all applicable nutrition risk codes by correctly interpreting the growth chart and the hemoglobin value, reviewing the Health History form, and scoring the Food Frequency Questionnaire.
  • Follows Counselling guidelines when providing nutrition counseling by:
  • Targeting the nutrition counseling toward the applicant's nutritional risk(s) by identifying the most important nutrition risk or risks and focusing on them.
  • Covering the participant category-specific topics.
  • Providing exit counseling to all postpartum and breastfeeding women.
  • Addressing applicant's questions and/or concerns.
  • Providing appropriate nutrition education materials based upon the topics covered in the nutrition counseling session.
  • Explaining the contents of the prescribed food package.
  • Screening the PNC women and advise them for breast feeding.
  • Utilization of correct method of measuring hemoglobin.
  • Utilizes correct method for measuring health/length and weight. Accurately entering data and registration.
  • Consistently uses proper procedures to collect accurate information.
  • Regular and accurate care of all affairs related to vaccination in the context of the responsibilities of the duty.
  • Conducting vaccination according to the time, age, and sex of all related under coverage areas.
  • Collecting of data from all age and gender groups in under coverage area.
  • Prepare a map of relevant under coverage areas with all target groups.
  • Determine the locations of HPs (Health Posts) for conducting outreach and mobile activities.
  • Responsible to have recognition from CHWs (Community Health Workers) and involvement of them in outreach, mobile activities, and campaigns such as NIDs.
  • Responsible of cold chain of related HNMTs vaccines according to the guidelines of National EPI.
  • Responsible to conduct the activities according to MoPH approved policies.
  • Taking care of IP (Infection Prevention) during all daily activities.
  • Conducting health education for the clients.
  • Responsible for following up the defaulters and consider the drop out.
  • Responsible for any kind of outbreak such as polio, measles and. etc. in under coverage areas.
  • In the event of a refrigerator, cold box, or vaccine carrier problem occurrence take immediate action and inform the responsible authorities.
  • Participate in all in-service trainings.
  • Participate in any training, sessions or meeting based on authorities’ request.
Job Requirements:
  • Graduated from relevant Midwifery Medical Institute/ Nursing Institute.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in the relevant field.
  • understanding of local languages
  • Knowledge of Nutrition counseling.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Having experience in Nutrition field and counseling will be an asset.
  • Able to go to the field
  • Good communication skills & understanding local languages.
  • Familiar with the health sector or having primary information about BPHS.
  • Having skill in solving conflicts on community level.
