Job Purpose:
• Participate in monthly action plan process for the project. • Assist the Project Deputy Technical Manager in finalization of monthly action plan of project. • Assist the staff of health facilities in their monthly action plan to IMCI program. • Follow up of IMCI progress in implementation of project. • Conducting regular IMCI Supportive supervision visit from health facilities. • Conducting community IMCI program supervisory visit from HP’s in coordination with CHS of health facilities. • Provide on job training to staff of HF’s as well as CHWs. • The IMCI officer is the focal point for coordination with MoPH with relevant mentioned departments and participant in IMCI coordination meeting regularly. • Conducting orientation session for staff of health facilities regarding IMCI. • Evaluation of HF’s according to IMCI standards. • Data entry of IMCI Database. • Prepare action plan for follow up of IMCI and other CDC department and surveys. • IMCI supervisor is focal point for implementation of learning center initiative at HF’s level. • Assessment of HFs for selection of learning center initiative • Conducting orientation session for staff of HF’s regarding IMCI initiative • Conduct training need assessment of all HF level. • Coordinating and managing refresher training for staff of HF’s. • Managing refresher training for management staff of project • Participate in any refresher training and courses related to the project. • Receive monthly report of HF’s and HP’s with HMIS Officer and monitor progress of activities and provide Necessary feedback. • Active participation in any research or evaluation activities related to the project in the catchments. • Establishing and follow up of a referral system from health posts to BHCs from BHCs to CHCs and to referral Hospitals. • Create a linkage of the program with community by establishing community health committee and councils. • Need assessment and approval of request of health facilities regarding equipment and supplies. • Ensuring on time and appropriate supply of health faculties • Inventory of health facility with the collaboration of logistic Officer, conduct inventory of HF on regular quarterly base • Assist the staff of health facilities to establish and maintain an effective filling system according to the need. • Prepare report of meeting attended. • Prepare field trip report regularly and on time • Prepare activity report on time. • Appraisal of relevant staffs on time. • Assist the Project Health Coordinator in preparation of monthly quarterly and annual project activity report. • Internal coordination coordinates any issue related of HF’s and HPs with concerned staff of BARAN. • Actively participating to the any outbreak and epidemic. • Assist staff of HFs to establish and maintain an effective filling system according to the need. • Prepare report of meetings attended. • Preparing field trips report after mission regularly. • IMCI focal point. • Any other request made by the DTM and flexibility as well. • To ensure inventory of all assets and maintain of health facilities. • Perform any other required project-related tasks.

Job Requirements:
  • A medical Doctor having degree from a recognized Medical University.
  • 3-years’ experience in related field
  • Fluent in English Language and communication skill.   
  • Computer knowledge (Windows, Excel, Word, internet)
  • Three years working experience in an INGO or MOPH.
