Job Purpose:
• Obtain a clear picture of the essential technical needs of the facilities. • Coordinate the training requirements with other health officers, trainers, and managers in the project. • Coordinate closely with MOPH, UNICEF, WHO, and other organizations that provide EPSH/BPHS related training • Participate in ToT activities • Visit the health facilities on a regular basis to identify staff needs; provide on-the-job training at the health facility level as able to do so • Assist in designing the annual action plan for required training considering the overall work plan. • Assist the officers/trainers in preparing course plans, lesson plans, and teaching material/learning aids. • Organize and facilitate quality cascading of the skills and knowledge transfer activities in the province and at the health facility level • Ensure that the cascading activities are done in the widest manner to include all health facilities and as many staff as possible during the year (instead of the same few health workers attending many cascading activities) • Distribute standard protocols and guidelines for different health workers. • Oversee implementation of the planned training schedules for different levels of the staff. • Develop achievement tests according to the training objectives established for a particular training course. • Make arrangements for field testing of training/teaching materials and incorporate any recommended modifications. • Monitor regularly the field activities. • Conduct post training follow-up of health facilities staff • Ensure that the set norms and protocols are respected. • Convey all training-related instructions of the field office to the health facilities. • Provide staff motivation. • Check training center books library, equipment and materials inventory and orders. • Conduct meetings with authorities, community leaders, elders and head of households to improve community participation and indirect evaluation of the field activities. • Collect and compile activity reports and recommendations of the field activities. • To ensure inventory of all asset and maintain of health facilities. • Perform any other required project-related tasks.

Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATION AND REQIREMENTS:

  • At least 3 years of proven experience at field BPHS.
  • Medical Doctor Degree;
  • Strong communications skills.
  • Fluent English, Pashto, and Dari with excellent speaking and writing skills.
  • Proficient computing skills – word processing, spreadsheet design and presentations.
