Job Purpose:
Provide mental, physical and emotional care while examining the children and infants. Perform regular checkups of patients to examine their development and health issues. Prescribe appropriate medication to the patients. Counsel children of all ages and their parents about hygiene, medication and other precautions. Recommend and manage medication, treatment, vaccinations, and additional specialized medical care to prevent or treat diseases, injuries, and illnesses. Suggest and educate patients and their parents in regards to activity, diet, hygiene and other disease prevention methods. Conduct the desired tests required to diagnose the issue. Provide detailed diagnosis based on scientific knowledge and the patient’s medical history. Refer to other principle specialists if the child needs expert care to diagnose and treat. Conduct quality checks within the hospital. Attend conferences and seminars for advancements in pediatrics.  Help junior staff for the provision of quality surgical care according to the national protocols and guidelines. To provide daily case presentations during the round and morning report to the junior staff To contribute to the capacity building of junior staff through conducting on-the-job training and seminars. To attend pediatrics related consultations and on-call duties as per schedule To carry out research and provide support on it to the junior staff. To do evening visits of admitted patients. To work as head of the department in case of need. To give proper directions to nurses regarding infection prevention and patient care. Attend all meetings and training provided by JACK. Perform any other related task given by JACK.

Job Requirements:
  • MD Degree from a recognized and accredited university.
  • Have specialization in pediatrics from MoPH/ MoHE specialization program.
  • Working experience as a specialist of 1-3 years in a hospital.
  • Good English language skills. Computer skills are preferable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment for performance of best health care service with honesty and best capacity.
