Job Purpose:

Main duties and responsibilities:
Coordinate the management of CBEs implementation as outlined in the detailed implementation plan in line with CBE program quality principles and standards, donor requirements, and good practices.
Provide technical support to the District Coordinators, Social Mobilizers/Field Monitors, and teacher trainers in the field and provide on-time technical support for the smooth running of the CBE activities in the field.
Regularly developing the monthly, quarterly and annual reports to the donor and de-facto authorities.
Build excellent relations with CBE focal points in PED-DED offices as well as lower staff under supervision for their support and updates.
Ensure the MoE’s latest CBE policy has been fully considered in all phases of CBE project implementation in the field.
Improving the quality of the education program through field monitoring.
Ensure her/himself from the Annual plan preparation of the field staff;
Ensure that Field Monitors have appropriate action plans and monitor the field activities.
Provide inputs to the provincial senior management for monthly reports of the project activities.
Promote an attitude of team spirit with a strong focus on quality.
Assist the Provincial Education Manager in the revision/amendment and follow-up of the education project budget.
Act according to the policy and regulations of JACK and education directives.
Analyze implementation challenges and report any inconsistencies and/or gaps to inform line supervisors for further adjustments to plans and implementation schedules.
Coordinate and oversee working relationships with District Coordinator and all other local project stakeholders and serve as the liaison between them and the project team to mobilize local actors and promote project activities and impact.
Support and coordinate capacity building and technical support activities to ensure assigned project activities are implemented per project guidelines and standards.
Coordinate the provision of any logistical and administrative support to staff and partners whenever required.
Ensure project documentation for assigned activities is complete with all required documents and is filed per agency and donor requirements.
Ensure her/himself of a proper filling system at the district and provincial level for education-related activities bot hard in soft;
Close Coordination and required support to the Provincial Education Manager to plan and implement teaching quality activities
Identify challenges in the implementation of project activities with the team and offer ideas for potential solutions
Technical Tasks

Develop training manuals and contents in line with the UNICEF and MoE’s instructions.
Feel responsible for quality outcomes of all capacity development activities (teachers, social mobilizer, district coordinator, and Tashkil staff whenever required)
Maintain regular follow-up of the teacher training courses and other capacity development activities through regular field visits (at least 50% field visits), technical follow-up, and technical impact assessments.
Training Tasks

The transfer of own knowledge and skills enhances the ability of the District Coordinator, Social Mobilizer, and Teacher Trainers.
Identify the training needs of the field staff, and give recommendations to Provincial Education Manager.
Train field staff on Needs Assessment, Planning, Monitoring, Report writing, and spot support to the teachers.
Design and implement different short-term and long-term workshops for the field staff for their capacity-building purpose.

Job Requirements:
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Social Science and Psychology or Educational Administration (Master’s degree is preferred)
  2. Minimum of 5 years of similar working experience, with national and international NGOs.
  3. Excellent (reporting) Pashto and Dari reading, writing, and verbal skills, Fluent in English, reading, writing, and verbal skills.
  4. Travel – The position will be based in Parwan/Kunduz with frequent travels to the districts (at least 50% of the time will be on field visits).
  5. Efficiency, result-oriented, and excellent management capabilities;
  6. Capacity to perform effectively under pressure and harsh conditions; ability to handle confidential and politically sensitive issues in a responsible and mature manner;
  7. Excellent capacity development and teamwork skills; cross-cultural and gender sensitivity;
  8. Ability to travel throughout the country;

  10. Ability to use information technology effectively.
