Job Purpose:
The HMIS Officer will be overall responsible for HMIS activities of the EPHS Project in Nangarhar, including designing and establishing an effective HMIS and supervision system within the project, Developing the HMIS plan of the EPHS project In NRH, conducting monitoring and evaluation for NRH, regular review and monitoring of HMIS data for verification, discrepancy and provide feedback to mentors, ensure implementation of the project target indicators, conducting on the job training for eligible staff of NRH, Accuracy and consistency check of HMIS data, collecting the HMIS data, entering the data to project database, developing quarterly HMIS report.
Job Responsibilities:
  1. Record, compile, analyse, and interprets health data and information of NRH.
  1. Data entry, data analysis, data check, providing technical assistance and feedback to NRH staff, and other relevant health supervisors.
  2. Analyze HMIS data, particularly P4P indicators and prepare the monthly and quarterly consolidated reports and present the report to the Senior Management team at the national level.
  3. Responsible for follow-up and verifying of monthly and Quarterly HMIS reports EPHS project.
  1. Produce HMIS monthly, quarterly & annual progress report
  1. Maintain the good spirit of coordination between stockholders in HMIS and M&E.
  2. Participate in HMIS subcommittee meetings, HMIS joint supervision, and other HMIS activities regularly
  3. Assessment, planning, and conducting HMIS workshops.
  1. Identify staff needs and perform specific training and support to health facilities staff and community network on HMIS and use of data for action.
  1. Obtain maps, databases, reports, and other information resources from main office
  2. Contribute to M&E plans, including log frames for project proposals.
  3. Coordinate HMIS activities with other concern agencies; represent JACK in HMIS task force.
  1. Enhance the ability of project and program staff in HMIS related tasks by conducting workshops,
  1. Follow up the roll and policy JACK.
  2. Perform any other duties as needed.
Job Requirements:

Education: MD, Master’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Public Health.

Work Experience:  At least 5 five years of experience in the field of HMIS, data management, monitoring, and evaluation.

Skills: Advance knowledge in data management, HMIS national database (DHIS2), HeRAM, and any other online platform and having excellent Computer Skills and MS Office knowledge, particularly MS Access.

Languages: Fluency in English and Local Language (Pashto and Dari)

General: Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
