Job Purpose: |
The CBNP project manager is responsible for implementing and supervising the nutrition program on the field in adherence with CBNP’s and national protocols/guidelines and in collaboration with local partners. S/he reports to the head of base. |
Job Responsibilities: |
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and oversee the implementation of program that he is responsible for both on-time and within the set technical specifications
- Coordination and communication with all partners in province
- Plan activities with the support Departments (administrative logistics) according to objectives
- Use management activity results and context monitoring tools
- Provide support and advice to the logistics base for the purchase of materials specific to its program activities
- Assess the relevance of activities the effectiveness of interventions and their appropriateness in light of changing circumstances and the needs of Organization
- Propose adjustments to programs if necessary
- Ensure the achievement of results of the programs for which is responsible
- Anticipate the difficulties associated with conducting CBNP activities and help solve problems related to programs activities
- Propose program adaptations according to the changing environment and indicators
- In collaboration with the administrative service contribute to the development of program budgets budget follow up and proposal budgets for the program parts
Capitalization:
- Prepare handover reports before the end of his employment contract and forward them to PM
- Work closely with field team for quality reporting to Kabul
HRM:
- Fulfilling recruitment for the national technical staff under PM responsibility
- With the administrative/HR departments define the prerequisites for the vacant positions and if necessary adapt the referent job profile.
- Welcome and brief new employees working under PM responsibility
- Implement training related to operational requirements and the identified training needs
- Manage and support the team under PM responsibility
- Evaluate the performances of his team members
- Identify potential changes in members of team and provide feedback to PM
Reporting/Communications/Representation:
- Write reports and annexes concerning his program for donor reports and/or amendment
- Ensure compliance with reporting deadlines and guidelines
- Maintain operational communication network and positive relations with tall partners and other National international agencies in cooperation with the coordination team
- Representation in the meetings or forums concerning the program in his place of employment
- Represent Organization on request and/or delegation
- Write the administrative documents to be signed (MOU handover…) jointly with governmental authorities communities or partners
- Any Other task assign by the line supervisor.

Job Requirements: |
- Nutritionist MD or any other relevant qualification in health sector.
- Three Plus years’ experience as a Manager for health project.
- Experience in nutrition projects will be plus.
- Good Communication skills
- Fluent in Dari and Pashtu and working knowledge of English
- Familiarity with Farah Province.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to create a supportive working relationship with all project teams
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work on Microsoft Office, Excel, World
