Job Purpose:
MIYCN master trainers will be responsible for overall management and implementation of capacity building interventions of CBNP/MIYCN project and other nutrition related interventions in Kunduz province with special focus at health facility interventions. More over She/he is responsible to generate Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annual, Annual, and project reports on capacity building activities.
Job Responsibilities:

Major Duties and Responsibilities:  

 

  • Actively participate in the Maternal, Infant and Young Child Nutrition (MIYCN) Training of Trainers (ToT) in Kabul, and pass the final knowledge and skills assessment after the TOT.
  • Conduct and facilitate the provincial MIYCN trainings in Kunduz province to frontline health workers including MD, Nurse and Midwife.
  • Conduct supervision and on-the-job coaching visits to health facilities as per the plan provided by JACK Training Coordinator
  • Work closely with the Provincial Training Coordinator and the National Training Coordinator to ensure all MIYCN training sessions are conducted as per the plan and schedule, and seek guidance and instructions of JACK national team when needed.
  • Ensure that all training aids and materials including PowerPoint slides are available and used during training sessions as per the MIYCN guidelines.
  • Collect and report necessary pre-and post-training evaluation data and any other data required of them during the training.
  • Provide a summary report after each session in designated format provided by JACK.
  • He /She shall perform the services diligently and in accordance with the highest professional standards all the times.
  • He /She shall be well prepared before facilitation of each session of training possessing solid command of the technical concepts and skills delivered to participants.
  • Report any issues and challenges faced during the provincial trainings on the spot to regional and national coordinator.
  • Support logistic support and coordination for the training at provincial level
  • Any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor.

Be prepared to travel to remote areas.

Job Requirements:
  • Having diploma in medical field (MD nurse midwives etc.) or bachelor’s degree in public health or Nutrition related field from an accredited College/University;
  • resident of Kunduz province is preferred;
  • Phenomenal communication presentation and public speaking skills;
  • Ability and willingness to travel to rural locations in districts
  • Fluency in written and spoken local language; 
  • Prior experience of working in nutrition related programs especially MIYCN
