Job Purpose: | ||
Job Purpose Nutrition Program Coordinator will be responsible overall management and coordination of JACK Nutrition projects with especial focus on implementation of the CBNP, WIFS and MNP in the projects areas across province. The Nutrition Program Coordinator is expected to write well-- grammar, spelling and context all count proposals and reports. His key asset would be the ability to write under tight deadlines, be organized and prepared, and have the ability to say much with a few words. More over the He/She is responsible to generate quality assessment, Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annual, Annual, and project reports. | ||
Job Responsibilities: | ||
Major Duties and Responsibilities: Program Implementation and Coordination • Provide technical guidance and maintain coordination and communication to Nutrition teams in the field and partner focal points to ensure the delivery of program targets and technically sound decision-making processes • Ensure that effective monitoring and supervision systems are in place for achieving program activity targets, budget allocations and financial expenditures • Conduct analysis of nutrition screening data, compile reports and share reports; both with the MOPH public nutrition directorate and with agencies within existing co-ordination mechanisms • Lead the preparation, review and regular revision of the detailed implementation plan, risk mitigation plan and procurement plan, taking into account agreed milestones, log frame and budget • Monitor project progress through field visits and meetings with project staff across the country, including communities, partners, local and provincial government and other key stakeholders • Lead on revisions of core implementation documents (milestones, logftrame, budget, DIP) • Ensure that key risks are identified at the start of the project(s) and reviewed and mitigated throughout the project cycle • Represent JACK in nutrition cluster meetings at MoPH and provinces • Coordinate effectively with other NGOs and UN agencies that are working in Health and Nutrition sections across the provinces • Liaise with the donors to input into funding proposals • Ensure proper communication, coordination and harmonization of tools with the different stakeholders involved in health and nutrition activities Budget Management • Ensure the effective and donor-compliant management of the project budget through close collaboration with partner focal points and the JACK Operation and Finance sections. • Prepare and implement monthly pipeline analyses and monthly spending targets • Identify potential variances of expenses versus budget, and recommend appropriate adjustments at coordination meetings Reporting and Documentation • Play a leading role in the finalization of donor narrative and financial reports, the submission of budget revisions, and other donor-required documentation • Support Nutrition projects field staffs in the writing of donor progress reports and document case studies of successes, challenges, lessons learned and other project-related feedback • Coordinate with national and provincial stakeholders all the matter related to Nutrition projects Human Resource Management • Ensure that the programme is appropriately staffed across the provinces supported by JACK, including the appropriate combination of expertise across technical and operational areas • Ensure that all direct reports have updated job descriptions, work plans, objectives, development goals and clear lines of communication and reporting • Support the capacity building of staff in nutrition related fields |

Job Requirements: | ||
• At least 6 years of proven experience in the field of Nutrition especially CBNP,WIFS,MNP • MPH in Nutrition or similar degree, having master degree is preferred • Strong communications and coordination skills; • Fluent English, Pashto, and Dari with excellent speaking and writing skills • Proficient computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, design and presentations |
